Papers included are Brock's personal correspondence, general correspondence, insurance records, stocks and bonds, business records relating to his various properties, ledgers for an outside company owned by Brock, and sales records of his pharmaceutical company. Also includes papers connected with each of the railroads Brock was associated with over his life long span. These papers include minutes, merger-related records, employment and payrolls records, and stockholder meetings. In addition there are materials on a variety of railroad-related topics, including Mobile and Ohio Railroad annual reports, Interstate Commerce Commission reports, time tables, and various railroad magazines.

Beginning with his first job with the Gulf, Mobile, and Northern Railroad in Mobile in 1922, Glen P. Brock, an Illinois native, would go on to become Vice President of the combined Gulf, Mobile, and Ohio Railroad in 1940, and then President of GM & O in 1957.
